EXPLAIN WHY IS IT FEASIBLE
: There are many types of optical illusions and different optical illusions get different results from different people.

EXPLAIN WHY IS IT MANAGEABLE
: It does require much resources and time and optical illusions are also found very easily.

EXPLAIN WHY IS IT ACCESSIBLE
: There are optical illusions everywhere.  (-:

(A) A statement of your research title
Differences in the influence of genres RnB music and Heavy metal music
(B) Explain why is it focussed
We are only concentrating on two popular genres in the music industry on how differently they are affecting people in their life. Besides this research is confined to between only SST students.
(C) Explain why is it significant
We are able to narrow down from this research that which genre of songs of the two is a better and safer one to hear.
(D) Explain why is it feasible
These two genres of songs can be easily found now and it should be easier for us to compare the two genres based on a song each from the genres individually.
(E) Explain why is it manageable
Students nowadays have a touch for music, it can arouse them to be interested to be part of this research.
(F) Explain why is it accesible
Survey can be carried out within the school population, or we can use the web to push off our findings to another level.
(G) State at least 3 sources of information that you will be drawing your research upon (3 links) and why you choose them

A STATEMENT OF YOUR RESEARCH TITLE
: Vehicle that provides as much speed while using as little force as possible
EXPLAIN WHY IS IT FOCUSSED
: It is a vehicle that uses little force
EXPLAIN WHY IS IT SIGNIFICANT
: It brings something to the world of transportation something revolutionary
EXPLAIN WHY IS IT FEASIBLE
: Based on what Physics would tell us, we can create a vehicle like this
EXPLAIN WHY IS IT MANAGEABLE
: Physics is a subject that we learn and is a bit knowledgable on.
EXPLAIN WHY IS IT ACCESSIBLE
: If more information is needed, the web should provide enough assistance
STATE AT LEAST 3 SOURCES OF INFORMATION THAT YOU WILL BE DRAWING YOUR RESEARCH UPON (3 web links) AND WHY YOU CHOOSE THEM.

IRS Group A Enoch Yang, Imanni Mikraj, Harriz Adry & Kaela

(A) Aerodynamics of vehicles, cars and helicopters (remote controlled)

(B) It is focused as aerodynamics only applies to movement and can be applied to all vehicles

(C) As vehicles are commonly used, making them aerodynamic decreases the effort and energy they consume.

(D) It is feasible as the vehicles are remote controlled toys.

(E) It is manageable as the remote controlled vehicles are very small, lightweight and we have a required software to assist us

(F) It is accessible as remote controlled cars and helicopters are accessible in toy stores. We also own our own remote controlled cars and helicopters.

Our topic is...

The comparison between Edgar Allen Poe's poem 'Dreams' and Lisa Zaran's 'Dreams' to investigate the evolution within the topic of 'Dreams' of Poetry.

a) It is already focused as it is already focused from the idea of 'Literature' and 'Poetry'. Our previous idea was to analyze four but we changed it to two to keep it more focussed.
b) We find this topic significant as we can analyze how poetry would evolve, targeting the very modernization of Poetry, only it is more focused :)
c) We find this feasible as we only have to analyze the two poems and make our inferences from the documents. We might also have to do some research about this topic of poetry to find out how the general idea of poetry has evolved.
d) It is highly manageable as we can break up our time easily.
e) It will be accessible as we can get all the resources from the library (certain books), interent and our brains.
g) Web Links that we will use:

h) Our types of data collection will be a sort of 'Case Studies' as we study the poems and make our inferences from there.

Lesson 2 - Choosing and defining a topic

In Term 3 Week 2's lesson, you are to choose and define your topic for IRS. Here are the tips:

Choosing and defining a topic for IRS is like setting your own exam question. Therefore, you must choose a topic that allows you to score well by ensuring that:

1. The topic is FOCUSSED. This is because it is easier to give an in-depth and insightful answer to a more focussed question compared to one that is very broad and general.

2. The topic is examining an important and SIGNIFICANT issue. The way you present the topic must bring out its significance.

3. The topic is feasible, the required information is ACCESSIBLE and the scope is MANAGEABLE. This ensures that you do not set yourself up for failure or put yourself in a difficult situation.

4. You can find SUFFICIENT INFORMATION about the topic. This gaurantees that you have the necessary information to substantiate your ideas in the written report.

5. There are 5 types of data collection method that you can choose from. They are:
(a) To make generalisations about a target population by usingSURVEYS
(b) To gain an in-depth and holistic understanding of an issue or about a group of people by using INTERVIEWS
(c) To examine a particular behaviour by using OBSERVATIONS
(d) To make a causal claim by using EXPERIMENTS
(e) To draw out general principles or recommendations for a macro or complex issue by using
CASE STUDIES
